A-B: When a cop gets to the scene of a fight and the person who made the call wants to press charges against the fighters, the cop should make a report. On little fights that the officer sees, the cop is allowed to make an arrest or give out tickets for being disorderly.
C: Before giving out a ticket for being disorderly, they should check to see if the person that’s getting the ticket has been arrested at least 3 times before for being drunk in public, starting fights or anything like that in the past 2 years. If that’s the case, the person should get brought to the jail.
D-F: Cops should also keep in mind any other charges that might be applicable while they’re there, and they can use that to arrest people if they saw them commit them.
In gang fights, at least two cops should be brought out, and can ask for help, and should only get involved if it’ll actually solve the problem. If they need to and they apply, cops should follow the procedure just like how they deal with assaults.
