The supervisor needs to be told whenever a dead person is found and it’s not at a hospital. If the dead person is at a hospital and was there for more than a day, or the person had a pretty bad medical problem, (which means it was natural causes) the medical investigator gets notified.
If they can’t make it to the hospital at the time, it is fine. If there is a reason to think it wasn’t from natural causes, a homicide investigator should get called for.
