A-B: The cop that gets a call for a stolen car needs to check the color, year, make, license and VIN of the car. The more info they can get, the better. They also need to get a number to call if they find the car.
C-D: Before they go out to find the car, they should check if the car may have gotten repo’d. They also can’t make a report if it’s something like the car owner not making payments or dealing with repair bills.
E: After this they’ll search any areas they think the car may be, and fill out quite a bit of paperwork if and when they find the car.
