Untitled-337 by Jay Goodman

As everyone who has been reading my book, the puppet master knows, I have done my best to expose the Texas prison
system for its many illegal activities, and the abuses that have always went on inside their prison system. And I have
done the same since moving into the federal prison system. And even though I do blame the states and the federal
prison system for the insanity that goes on in here, I also want to be honest and say prisoners as a whole, have held
themselves back.

All of us have a very unique opportunity in here to take advantage of something we will never have again once we are
released. Right now we have 24 hours a day to work on our self. Once we leave prison, we will have a lot of
responsibility on our hands, and it’s not to say we can’t work on our self, but it will be much different than now.

Right now, everyone of us can work on ourselves mentally, physically, and spiritually. But the problem is, not many
prisoners in here do. Instead, a lot of prisoners spend their day doing nothing that will benefit them overall. While
there are prisoners who work out, not many will go to the next step and work on themselves, mentally and emotionally.
What good is it to be physically strong, but mentally stupid? It’s like only exercising your legs and never working on
any other part of your body. You would look ridiculous. What is the exact same thing when it comes to the overall
well-being of ourselves. Why some prisoners are just stuck on stupid, and continually live in the past, a lot of
others are lazy. A lot of prisoners choose the easy way in every part of their life. Please understand that I know for
a fact, that people in here to have a lot of potential. But it’s wasted from getting high every day, or sitting
around, looking at a TV from the minute they get up until they go to bed.

Others will sleep every minute they can I also have seen how difficult it is for prisoners to read something that’s
beneficial. Instead, most will spend their days reading, hood books, or some fantasy shit. Why I see nothing wrong
with reading a book for entertainment, our time should be focused on growing in every area of our lives. Once again,
we have 24 hours a day to work on ourselves, which book will benefit you more?

I have a philosophy, that I remind myself of all the time, and if people would think about this, when they’re going
about their day, I believe it would help them continue to grow. I think, “if you can’t do the small things, how can
you do the big things?? But for most people in here, it seems to be a difficult thing to grasp. And that’s why they
stay stuck in the same bad habits. Another quote from the Bible saysďż˝? when I was a child I spoke in thought and
reasoned as a child does. But when I grew up, I put away childish things.ďż˝? but for whatever reason, this is a very
difficult thing for many prisoners. There is not a soul in prison that I’ve ever met who doesn’t want to be rich.
Everyone wants to be rich, have a beautiful home, cars, wife, travel. And there is nothing wrong with that. It seems
important to have dreams, it’s important to have goals. But it’s the way most prisoners think of making their dreams
come true that holds them in here back. A lot of people have this fantasy of becoming rich by dealing drugs. For
whatever reason they have this mindset, this is the only way I can do this. I spent hours showing people how to do
things differently. I’ve helped one Guy I make over $50,000. When he left prison, he did good for around a month or
two, and went right back to his old way of thinking, and was broke in less than 60 days. It had nothing to show for
it. I learned then that you can help someone all you want, but if they refuse to change their thinking, they will
continue to do the same destructive thing they’ve always did in their past. Change your thinking and you will change
your life. This is why it’s important to be careful what you read, listen to, who you hang out with. All of these
things will have a huge impact on your thinking. If you do not conquer your thinking, what worthwhile thing can you
hope to accomplish? The answer to this is nothing. I have told many people through the years that this time we have a
great opportunity for us to grow in every possible way. So why do prisoners have such a difficult time? Truthfully,
the way the prison system is run has a B, big part in why no one is being rehabilitated. And of course, it’s laziness
on the prisoner’s part.

To have control over one’s own mind takes effort, and not many people in here. Have the willpower to actually do what
it takes. It’s much easier to keep doing what they’ve always done. When they sit around reading fantasy shit, it
doesn’t require them to think. They are not reading something which makes their brain work. It’s the exact same thing
with what you listen to. I see people every day watching rap videos. In the videos, you will see the same thing.
Money, drugs, women, who look like a whore, and the police putting them in jail. It’s easy for people to watch these
videos for hours each day. I have wondered if someone was to say, “Hey, I see you spend three or four hours a day
listening to this. How about dedicated one hour a day to reading this book on the stock market?ďż˝?

I have tried this with several people in right away I could see they couldn’t handle it. Next, I said “I can see one
hour a day is too much. How about a half hour a day?ďż˝? tell try, but even that becomes too much. Then I would suggest,
“how about 15 minutes today?? but with almost every single person even that was impossible. Remember, it’s easy for
prisoners to listen to music and watch TV for hours a day, which would not benefit them in anyway. But to get them to
read something that will help them become smarter, happier, wealthier, is like asking them to run 10 miles a day. I
have never seen a prisoner who doesn’t want to be rich. And once again, I don’t see nothing wrong with that. But you
accomplish this goal one hast to put in the work to make that happen. Nothing in life comes easy. Whether you are
trying to get into shape, going to college, trying to raise a family, or trying to get rich, it all takes effort. One
had to put the time in to make these things come true.

You may become rich by selling drugs, but at what cost? What good is millions of dollars if you’re sitting in prison
for the rest of your life? For everyone sitting in prison now reading this ask yourselves this question, these years
or decades you’ve been in here away from your mom, dad, wife, children, was it worth it? Does anyone ever think about
what your children went through? Especially if they’re young when you went to prison. There is always a cost for every
choice we make. You have to start here if you don’t, you are almost certain to leave prison and be back on your way
back within a short period of time. Work on yourselves, mentally, physically, and spiritually. Changer thinking and
you’ll change your lives.
